Ivy Forever

In Loving Memory of Ivy

Ivy passed away yesterday after months of bravely fighting a brain tumor and devastating seizures. She was our sweet one eyed Boston Terrier and one of the greatest loves of our lives.

Ivy came to us through SNORT Rescue. The original plan was to foster her while she healed from surgery to remove her damaged eye, but that plan lasted all of two days. She had us completely wrapped around her tiny paws almost immediately, and it was clear she was already home.

She was pure joy. Ivy lived for frozen blueberries, toothy kisses, short walks, and long naps filled with loud snores and truly toxic gas. Her playful zooms, gentle soul, and goofy personality made her a favorite in our family and with everyone who followed her journey. She had a way of making people smile without even trying.

In March of 2025, everything changed. Ivy began having seizures that were believed to be caused by a brain tumor. Due to her age, there were very few safe treatment options. From that point on, we monitored her around the clock, adjusted medications as needed, and focused entirely on keeping her comfortable and loved. The seizures started small but became more frequent and more severe over time. Even through the worst of it, Ivy never stopped being Ivy. She still smiled with her remaining x5 teeth, still begged for treats, and still tried her best to enjoy every single day.

Ivy never stopped fighting. She gave us more love than we ever thought possible, and every day we were lucky enough to have with her was a gift. Her spirit, her strength, and her joy will stay with us forever.
